Please provide as much detail as possible
The Videos on our Website provide a comprehensive overview of Safe Patient Handling Manoeuvres, including but not limited to Patient Handling, Transfer, Positioning and Lifting.
Before using any Moving, Handling, Transfer, or Repositioning Aids, it is essential to conduct a thorough RISK ASSESSMENT BY QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS. This Assessment should align with Standard Institutional Safe Handling Protocols and Procedures.
When performing Patient Handling Manoeuvres, such as Patient Handling, Transfer, Positioning, And Lifting, always adhere to your INSTITUTION’S STANDARD SAFE HANDLING PROTOCOLS, PROCEDURES, AND GUIDELINES.
By combining our Adaptive Airflow Technology with our Recommended Techniques for Patient Lateral Transfer and the use of MULTIBOARDS, the Exertion Force experienced by the Care Staff (Patient's Lateral Transfer Weight) during the Transfer Process will be approximately 5% of the Patient's Actual Weight.
Rexyn has introduced innovative airflow solutions in the Easy Applicator Range of Air Mattresses, collectively known as Adaptive Airflow Technology.
These advanced technologies utilise various methods to Optimise Airflow and Air Expulsion through the base perforations.
As a result, the Air Expulsion alternates between areas with a more evenly distributed, gentle airflow and areas with a more concentrated, forceful expulsion.
MultiBoards Significantly Enhance the Sliding, Gliding and Repositioning Capabilities of Air Assisted Patient Transfer and Repositioning Air Mattresses.
They offer a solid, non-absorbent, air-reflective surface that is ready for immediate use and aids in preserving the integrity of the Air Cushion.
Demonstration of the Folding and Sliding Technique to Remove the Mattress from under the Patient
To Demonstrate the Technique, the Video shows the Viewfrom the Foot End of the Mattress as well as the View from Overhead
Transfer on a Decline
The Receiving Surface should be about 5 cm (2 inches) lower than the Transfer Surface.
Transfer Diagonally
Diagonal Transfers reduce the Patient's Lateral Transfer Weight and ensure that the Air Mattress travels safely and smoothly over any gaps between the Transfer and Receiving Surfaces.
Use the Pull and Grab Handles
Use the Pull and Grab Technique for Conducting Transfers.
Use the Positioning Handles
Use the Positioning Handles to position the Mattress safely in the middle and centre of
the Receiving Surface.
Recommendation
The EA-ULTRA-AM and EA-ULTRA-AM-B offer a particularly fast glide and slide.
We recommend using the MULTIBOARDS - as demonstrated in the Video - for a more controlled transfer.
The EAS-AM, EA-ULTRA-AM and EA-ULTRA-AM-B can be easily removed from under the Patient without Log-rolling the Patient
The Mattresses are folded onto themselves and then gently slid out from under the patient
The Techniques demonstrated in this Video can only be used with the:
